It’s a Binary Choice — That Means You Need To Pick One

Binary: relating to, composed of, or involving two things

Former Arkansas governor Asa Hutchinson ran for the GOP presidential nomination in a campaign that lasted about 15 minutes before he realized virtually no Republicans had the least bit of interest in voting for him.

Hutchinson passed himself off as a sensible, traditional Republican, in contrast to the cult leader who cleaned his clock — four-time-indicted/twice-impeached/sexual assaulter/tax fraudster/wannabe dictator/former president Donald Trump.

I say passed off because a recent opinion piece by Hutchinson on the USA Today website showed him to be just another phony, gutless clown from the Right. Why are we surprised? After all, he does have an R before his name.

In a piece titled, “I ran for president as a Republican in 2024. I won’t vote for Trump (or Biden),” Hutchinson repeats the various reasons he sees Trump as unfit for office. This is all stuff you already know if you’ve been paying attention.

He also, laughingly, throws out “I have a long history of believing that principle matters, character counts, and civility should be valued.” Yeah, he throws that out, but what comes later made me want to throw up.

You see, even though Hutchinson thinks Trump would be a disaster for his country, he won’t take the most obvious and necessary step to keep him out of office – voting for his opponent, President Joe Biden.

About Rick Elia

Rick Elia wrote for a newspaper for over 20 years, until he stopped doing that. After that he did some (mostly perfectly legal) stuff we don’t want to talk about. He started writing Facebook posts as therapy for the trauma of the 2016 presidential election. One day he came up with the idea of putting his writings into a blog. So he did. Previously, he created two other blogs: The Folks from Patterson Avenue: http://www.pattersonavenue.blogspot.com 3 Dog Productions Video Village: http://www.3dogproductions.blogspot.com
