When the cruelty is the point, did you even have a point to begin with?
When unabashed hatred becomes your calling card, were you just a hateful person all along who’s been exposed by your enthusiastic participation and support of your tribe? Were you just looking for a chance to show your true self, and now you’ve found it?
The photo above is a compilation of the responses of some Republican politicians and public figures to the brutal attack on Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, by an assailant in their San Francisco home last year.
An 82-year-old man was almost beaten to death with a hammer, and this collection of scum thought it would make a great joke. They figured it would somehow be a keen talking point in their endless attempts to “own the libs” because life and death is no big deal when it involves the other side.
Surveillance and police body camera footage of the incident were released last week, showing that those on the Right making false, and sometimes homophobic, claims about the attack were simply lying.
Yeah, real funny.
